Southwest Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients

1 tsp vegetable oil
1 medium pork shoulder roast (bone in is best)
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbs mustard
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs chili powder
2 tsp dried thyme
3 cloves of garlic
1 chopped onion
8 buns of your choice
butter as needed

Directions

1)  Place all ingredients ingredients except pork into the slow cooker.  Mix with a whisk to dissolve the brown sugar.  Place pork into the slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours.

2)  Remove meat from the slow cooker and shred the meat using 2 forks.  Return the meat to the slow cooker, and stir to coat the meat with sauce.

3)  Spread both sides of the buns with butter and lightly toast in the oven.  Spoon pork mixture onto the buns and enjoy!

**Serve with a side of coleslaw
